Stem Cell Awareness Day (SCAD) is a public education initiative of Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories linking scientists, clinicians, patients and the general public around the world. It aims to promote a greater understanding of stem cells and their potential to treat a wide range of debilitating clinical conditions.
In 2011 SCAD will focus on neurodegenerative disorders and osteoarthritis at a FREE public seminar in Melbourne.
All members of the public are invited to come down and learn more about current stem cell research and future possibilities for osteoarthritis and neurodegenerative disorders. The day will feature talks from leading experts in the field followed by a panel discussion with plenty of opportunity for questions.
Where: Federation Square, Melbourne
When: 10 AM - 3 PM, Friday 7 October 2011
Hosted by Monash Immunology and Stem Cell Laboratories
